About ALTCHA

ALTCHA is an open-source, self-hosted captcha service from the Czech Republic. No cookies, fingerprints or trackers are used. To operate it, a web component is integrated into the website and connected to a server that provides the challenges. There are ready-made solutions for this server, such as a WordPress plugin or libraries for frameworks like Ruby on Rails and Laravel. ALTCHA also offers an API, which however is not hosted in Europe. It is licensed under the MIT licence. Comparable offerings include Google reCAPTCHA and hCaptcha.
