DNSmuris.lv is a free DNS service from Latvia. It is provided jointly by CERT.LV, the national computer emergency response team, and NIC.LV, the registry for .lv domains. Besides ordinary name resolution, the service blocks addresses used to spread phishing, fraud or malware. Anyone who enters it as their DNS server therefore gains extra protection while browsing without installing software. Google Public DNS and OpenDNS are named as American counterparts.
