About EuroLLM

EuroLLM is a European family of large language models designed to be open source and multilingual. It includes variants with 1.7, 9 and 22 billion parameters and covers all 24 official EU languages plus others. Base and instruction-tuned versions are available on Hugging Face and can be operated on one's own infrastructure. The audience is developers, researchers and organisations who want to build chat, translation or other multilingual AI applications. Models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Microsoft are named as American counterparts.
