About LLäMmlein

LLäMmlein is a German language model with roughly one billion parameters. It was trained from scratch using the TinyLlama code on the German portion of RedPajama V2, that is, on German-language web text. The model is available on Hugging Face and is aimed at researchers and developers who want to study or reuse a small model for the German language. It is seen as an alternative to ChatGPT when a German language model that can be operated independently is needed.
