Surfshark is a VPN service founded in Lithuania in 2018 and headquartered in Amsterdam, with further offices in Lithuania, Poland and Germany. The provider merged with Nord Security in 2022. Features mentioned include unlimited simultaneous connections, an ad blocker, RAM-only servers, the WireGuard protocol and a no-logs policy. The no-logs policy was audited by Deloitte (2022 and 2025), and the clients have undergone several security audits. The software is proprietary. Worth noting: the parent company Nord Security received an investment from the US private equity firm Warburg Pincus in 2023. Surfshark is paid and an alternative to ExpressVPN.
