About Conversations

Conversations is a free Jabber/XMPP client with open source code for Android, written by the German freelancer Daniel Gultsch. The underlying XMPP protocol is decentralised, so conversations are not kept on a single central server. The app handles OMEMO and OpenPGP for encryption, plus voice and video calls, file sending, group chats and location sharing. It can be had from Google Play and F-Droid. WhatsApp, Signal, Discord or iMessage are the services it can stand in for.
