hostily Captcha protects contact forms, logins, registrations and shops from bots. Instead of image puzzles, the visitor's browser solves a small proof-of-work task in the background; at most a "I am not a robot" checkbox is visible, and it can also work invisibly. On the server it additionally checks minimum fill-in time, honeypot fields, duplicate submissions and your own content rules. The service runs on servers in Germany, sets no cookies and stores IP addresses only as a daily-salted hash; events are deleted after 14 days. There are plugins for WordPress, WHMCS and Shopware 5 and 6, and libraries for PHP, Python and Node.js. The verification API is compatible with reCAPTCHA v2, so switching is often just a matter of changing the URL and keys.
